Established in 1998, Katherine West Health Board (KWHB) is an Aboriginal Community Controlled organisation that provides a range of clinical, preventative and public health services to clients in the Katherine West Region of the Northern Territory. With four major health care centres and a range of satellite centres, KWHB services an area over two times the size of Tasmania (162,000km²), helping to improve the health and wellbeing of some of the most remote communities in Australia.

About the Opportunity

Katherine West Health Board (KWHB) is currently looking for a General Manager Corporate Services to join their team for an opportunity to live and work in Darwin/Katherine, NT. 

The General Manager Corporate Services will provide high level management and operational leadership to the KWHB corporate services team to ensure effective organisational performance.
This includes supporting staff development, enhancing business efficiency, improving revenue streams, and maintaining relationships with stakeholders.

The role will be responsible for leading the implementation and ongoing effectiveness of organisational business systems, including online platforms to support all KWHB
business operations. It is expected that this position will manage operational quality and risk across the KWHB organisational landscape. 

Develop and implement business strategies within Corporate Services, which address the challenges and objectives of the KWHB Strategic Plan and other plans, including the KWHB Combined Action Plan. Provide regular reports to the Chief Executive Officer on the progress made in meeting the KWHB business strategic objectives.

As a member of the Management Review Committee, participate in the strategic and operational planning processes of KWHB especially providing leadership across the corporate domains. Through the effective management of resources, provide high quality corporate support systems and associated services to staff of KWHB and relevant external stakeholders to ensure a high standard of support to service delivery to all clients. 

Please note: You must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 under the Public and Environmental Health Act 2011 of the Northern Territory of Australia. You will need to have, or be willing to obtain, a current Driver's License, Working with Children Check, and Police Check.
