Katherine West Health Board (KWHB) is currently looking for a Manager Family Services. This position will be well suited to someone who has a tertiary qualification in Human Services, Health, Community Development, Management, or Communication related discipline. 

Established in 1998, Katherine West Health Board (KWHB) is an Aboriginal Community Controlled organisation that provides a range of clinical, preventative and public health services to clients in the Katherine West Region of the Northern Territory. With four major health care centres and a range of satellite centres, KWHB services an area over two times the size of Tasmania (162,000km²), helping to improve the health and wellbeing of some of the most remote communities in Australia.

Position Description

The Manager Family Services has a crucial role in ensuring meticulous compliance with family services funding agreements and ensuring effective operational governance of the family services program.

Responsibilities will include (but not limited to):

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of KWHB family services programs, including reporting, resourcing and compliance with funding and regulatory requirements.
  • Write and develop reports and activity work plans in line with funding agreements, ensuring strong continuity between funding agreements, KPIs and service delivery.
  • Plan and monitor workloads of Family Services case managers to maintain a high standard of family support service delivery across the Katherine West region.
  • Liaise with cultural leadership advisors and be guided by community input and feedback to ensure the highest standards of cultural safety are embedded into program delivery.
  • Develop and support appropriate referral networks to respond to complex family support needs.
  • Represent KWHB professionally in external meetings to advance program aims and outcomes and build service collaboration mechanisms.
