Katherine West Health Board (KWHB) is curretly looking for Allied Health Professionals.These positions will be well suited to someone who is a a registered allied health professional that holds a a current recognised registration with AHPRA or relevant organisation relating to allied health discipline, who is looking to work in remote NT?
We are looking for applications in areas such as: Physiotherapist, Exercise physiologist, Dietitian, Diabetes educator, occupational therapist, with an understanding of Aboriginal cultural values, and commitment to the advancement and self-determination of Aboriginal communities.
Established in 1998, Katherine West Health Board is an Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisation that provides a range of clinical, preventative and public health services to clients in the Katherine West Region of the Northern Territory. With four major health care centres and a range of satellite centres, KWHB Maree Keller an area over two times the size of Tasmania (162,000km²), helping to improve the health and wellbeing of some of the most remote communities in Australia.

Roles and responsibilities (but not limited to):
- Provide high quality assessment and support within your allied health scope for individual clients in the Katherine West region.
- Collaborate with other key members of the KWHB team, to ensure policies and practices are consistent with community priorities and preferences.
- Ensure integrated service delivery and follow up that is coordinated and communicated as required with health leadership, internal and external providers and visiting staff.
- Participate in preparing reports and adhere to timelines and reporting objectives as outlined in funding agreements.
- Support and participate in Quality Improvement activities within the Health Centre to enhance the safety and effectiveness of care.
- Provide follow up monitoring and care as directed through health assessment, TCA and/or General Practitioner Management Plan, coordinating as required with other relevant internal, visiting, and external providers.
