Katherine West Health Board (KWHB) is currently looking for a Finance Officer. This position is well suited to someone who has experience in financial administration, with an understanding of Aboriginal cultural values, and commitment to the advancement and self-determination of Aboriginal communities.
Established in 1998, Katherine West Health Board is an Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisation that provides a range of clinical, preventative and public health services to clients in the Katherine West Region of the Northern Territory. With four major health care centres and a range of satellite centres, KWHB services an area over two times the size of Tasmania (162,000km²), helping to improve the health and wellbeing of some of the most remote communities in Australia.

About the Opportunity
The Finance Officer will work closely with the Finance Manager with a specific focus on KWHB finance functions including grants management, and accounts payable and receivable. The role also has a more general focus on administrative support for all aspects of the KWHB finance function and its day-to-day office operations.
Responsibilities will include (but not limited to):
- Process end-to-end accounts payable, including cost coding, reconciling invoices to purchase orders in ProSpend and exporting to MYOB, reconciling supplier statements,and processing supplier payments in accordance with credit terms.
- Process weekly employee reimbursements in a timely and accurate manner.
- Respond to staff and supplier queries and resolve discrepancies promptly and professionally.
- Assist with grant management reporting and related administrative tasks.
- Provide administrative support to other KWHB work units as directed by the Executive Manager Corporate Services, to ensure effective delivery of services to KWHB clients.
