Established in 1998, Katherine West Health Board is an Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisation that provides a range of clinical, preventative and public health services to clients in the Katherine West Region of the Northern Territory. With four major health care centres and a range of satellite centres, KWHB services an area over two times the size of Tasmania (162,000km²), helping to improve the health and wellbeing of some of the most remote communities in Australia. Katherine West Health Board (KWHB) is currently looking for a Health Operations Support Officer (HOSO) – Lajamanu Urgent Care (LUC). This position is well suited to someone who has the ability and willingness to participate in a rotational roster of 7 x 10-hour night shifts (2200–0700) per fortnight. It requires adaptability, cultural awareness, and a strong commitment to supporting the health and wellbeing of Aboriginal communities.

Your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):
- Under the direction of the Lajamanu Urgent Care Remote Area Nurse (LUC RAN), provide operational and logistical support for after-hours services, including acting as a second responder for emergencies.
- Assist with the prioritisation of clients to ensure timely and appropriate care based on their needs and urgency. Assist with the maintenance of non-clinical stores, supplies, and consumables to ensure operational readiness.
- Support the RAN in organising patient travel, including logistical arrangements and documentation.
- Provide support for the introduction and orientation of new staff to the health centre, including operational procedures and community engagement.
- Uphold compliance with organisational policies, workplace health and safety standards, and confidentiality protocols.
