Established in 1998, Katherine West Health Board is an Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisation that provides a range of clinical, preventative and public health services to clients in the Katherine West Region of the Northern Territory. With four major health care centres and a range of satellite centres, KWHB services an area over two times the size of Tasmania (162,000km²), helping to improve the health and wellbeing of some of the most remote communities in Australia.
Katherine West Health Board (KWHB) is currently looking for a Remote Area Nurse (RAN) – Lajamanu Urgent Care (LUC). This position is well suited to someone with at least 3–5 years post-graduate experience, and advanced clinical skills and competencies applicable to remote area nursing. The suitable applicant will have the ability and willingness to work a 14-day on/14-day off rotational roster, including 10-hour night shifts (2200–0700). The role requires adaptability, cultural awareness, and a strong commitment to supporting the health and wellbeing of Aboriginal communities.

Your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):
- Deliver comprehensive, patient-centered care.
- Provide information and advice over the phone to clients seeking clinical assistance between 2200 and 0700.
- Assess and manage clients presenting to the clinic after hours with clinical concerns.
- Respond to emergency callouts following KWHB policies and procedures.
- Perform administrative tasks, including data cleanup of recalls and biographic information, as assigned.
- Participate in a 14-day on/14-day off roster to meet community health needs.
